Broad Plain Boys Club has been running in Bristol for well over 100 years and has helped many boys to realise their full potential. Sadly, the club was facing closure due to financial difficulties.
Now it appears that famous street artist Banksy is a fan of the club and has ridden to the rescue. In the wake of the controversy over his recent Mobile Lovers painting, Banksy has shown allegiance to the generations of young men who follow him.
Banksy and The Boys: so typical of Banksy!
"Dear Dennis, I hope this finds you well. As you know I recently painted on a doorway near the club." The street artist goes on to say that he does not usually admit to "committing criminal damage" but as "a great admirer of the work done at the club" he would "be chuffed if this can help in some way".
