I've been lucky enough to see first hand how a high performing board has effectively overseen CEO succession at our firm, with Greg Keith taking over from Robert Quant on 1 July as Grant Thornton Australia CEO. The latest HBR research would suggest that boards in general are doing a better job of managing CEO succession and this is resulting in a smaller proportion of CEOs being fired from listed companies across the globe.
