A few weeks ago I posted an article 'One Charger for All in 2017'
Now I've just stumbled across this article which fits in nicely with all of us 'hopefully' on the road to using the same charger.
StoreDot ( a nanotechnology company) have developed a charging device made of biological structures which can charge a smart phone in under 30 seconds...
Like any new technology it is not going to be cheap and company founder Dr Dorn Myersdorf suspects they will be 30-40% more expensive to develop than traditional chargers...
However put this new technology together with 'One Charger for All' and I think paying a little extra will be worth it, save time and reduce energy consumption but if we are all using the same charger hopefully that will bring production costs down too...?
A Samsung S4 smartphone went from a dead battery to full power in 26 seconds in the demonstration. The battery is currently only a prototype and the firm predicts it will take three years to become a commercially viable product.
