People often ask why am I doing this event? "Why would you ride 100 miles on a folding bike?" "Why would you do it in a suit?" "Why not do it on a normal bike?" "Are you not going to be slow and get really hot?"
Well the simple reason is I am riding for a charity close to the industry I work in. LandAid is the property industry's charity, working all year round to help make our vision of ending youth homelessness in the UK a reality.
LandAid have just launched a two-week appeal to businesses and business leaders within thin the property industry to help raise funds for this affected by the fire in West London last week.
I have spoken to the team at LandAid and I would like the money that I raise over the next two weeks to go directly to this fund, and help the families affected by the fire and its aftermath to help re-build both their lives and their community.
If you would like to donate please click on the link below. Any money donated will be greatly appreciated and go towards a worth cause:
The money raised over the next two weeks will go directly to families affected by the fire and its aftermath to help re-build both their lives and their community. LandAid’s continues to work towards ending youth homelessness. However, we see this tragedy as an extension of our mission and an acute reminder of the impact that unsuitable and unsafe housing can have on the lives of those around us.
